Sam S. Caliendo
Sam Caliendo was born in Chicago , Illinois and moved with his family from Chicago to Deerfield Beach , Florida in 1958.
After graduating from college, he worked as a sales agent for a real estate development company called Seese Real Estate Company and invested his earnings by purchasing , renovating and re-selling old homes.
By the age of 25, Mr. Caliendo successfully completed a number of residential and commercial projects. At this point, he started the redevelopment of Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club in Boca Raton , Florida , demolishing $350,000 to $550,000 homes and replacing them with homes selling for prices ranging from $2 million to more than $5 million. In addition, he provided the complete interior decoration of these properties and his business concept was one of the first in the country to be recognized as what became known as the "turn key" home.
His success earned him worldwide recognition and he was even featured on such television shows as "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" and the "Today Show". He has also been featured in numerous publications such as "The New York Times", the "Miami Herald", the "Wall Street Journal", and the Sunday magazine section of the "Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel".
He is currently half owner, Chairman and Vice-President of Consolidated Construction and Development Corp., a shell contractor for developers such as Toll Brothers. A few of the many projects built by Consolidated include the Tides Hotel in Miami, the VA Hospital in Miami, Mizner Country Club, Frenchman's Reserve, Palmetto General Hospital and the Norton Art Gallery in West Palm Beach.
Mr. Caliendo is also President of the Bentley Group and principal of Shoreline Realty, Inc., a full service real estate firm, as well as President of Royal Leasing, Inc., a vehicle leasing company. He is also principal and Senior Manager of Bentley Realty Group, developer of such projects as Bentley Towers (office building), Bentley Commerce Center (warehouse office space) in Delray Beach, Bentley at Riverside Park, a townhome development in downtown Fort Lauderdale and Bentley at Victoria Park, also in Fort Lauderdale.
He has recently served as a director of PanAmerican Bank as well as a member of its holding company board. He served on several key committees and was instrumental in the expansion and growth of PanAmerican Bank in the Palm Beach County area. In the past, he has served in other key positions of other community banks in the South Florida area.
Mr. Caliendo has been involved in many real estate, design and other trade associations, as well as a member of the Chamber of Commerce. He has also been instrumental in raising funds for various community associations including the Alzheimer's Association and the American Cancer Society. He is currently a member of the Executive Committee for Shine On, which is a key fund-raiser for cystic fibrosis.
Today he devotes a substantial amount of his time to the acquisition and development of various real estate and investment opportunities throughout the State of Florida and for more than 30 years, he has been responsible for the day-to-day management of various real estate and development projects.
G. Carlton Marlowe
G. Carlton Marlowe, was born and raised in Lexington , Kentucky and earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree at the University of Virginia , graduating in 1970. He attended and graduated from the University of Miami School of Law with a Juris Doctorate Degree in 1973 where he was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1973, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida in 1975, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in 1975, and the United States Supreme Court in 1980. For many years, he had a general civil practice of law in the Fort Lauderdale area with an emphasis on real estate and construction law, and in 1983 he opened a branch office in Boca Raton , Florida . Since 1980, Marlowe has been the principal in the law firm of G. Carlton Marlowe, P.A.
During his summers as a young man, Marlowe worked in his family¹s various businesses ranging from coal mining operations to retail gas stations to retail tire and appliance businesses. His family founded, owned and operated the Bank of Whitesburg (Kentucky) from 1932 to 1986 when it was sold, and in 1987 he became one of the founding shareholders of Mizner Bank in Boca Raton, Florida which was acquired by First United Bank, which itself, in turn, was acquired by Wachovia Bank.
During the late 1980s and early 1990s, he became more active in the various family businesses and Investments after the death of his father in 1989. He was the managing partner of the Marlowe Family Limited Partnership which owned and operated various businesses and real estate investments. At the same time, he became active in various bar associations in the South Florida area as well as the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce where he served as chairman of the Business Development Committee and he continues to be active in that organization today.
In 1999, he was elected a director of PanAmerican Bank (formerly Southern Security Bank of Hollywood ) and served on both the Board of the Bank and the Board of the Bank holding company until December 2002. While a member of those Boards, he was also a member of the Executive Committee, Asset/Liability and Investment Committee and the Loan and Discount Committee, Compensation Committee and Audit Committee.
Today he continues to actively manage and operate various family investments and real estate projects and he serves as managing partner of White Oak Properties, a Florida General Partnership, which owns some of said investments and real estate. He also practices law in both his Ft. Lauderdale and Boca Raton offices and devotes substantial time to various investments and real estate ventures, and is the Associate Manger of the Bentley Realty Group.
For the last several years, he has been actively involved in the day-to-day management of various Bentley Realty Group projects, both residential and commercial. He plans to continue to be an integral part of Bentley Realty Group¹s rapid growth and expansion throughout the South Florida area.
Henry R. Kesner
Henry R. Kesner was born in Long Branch , New Jersey , but his life experiences and travels have now landed him as president, CEO and half partner of Consolidated Construction. Kesner is always on the job site or in the board room, going over intense blue prints and always thinking of the next move. This drive for perfection has helped push Consolidated to the top of its game.
Kesner is one of the main reasons for the success of Consolidated, as he personally makes daily visits to all the companies and projects and controls the daily operations of the field and office staff. It is his vast and impressive background that has made him such a keen judge of business.
Before he came to work with Caliendo at Consolidated, Kesner was vice president of HG Weiss Construction in Florida , vice president of Rolls Construction Co. in Illinois , director of construction for The Cookie Factory in Chicago and director of operations for a shopping center developer in Illinois . He is a graduate of the University of Rochester with a degree in business administration/Accounting and Electrical Engineering.
On a personal note, Kesner has been married to Karen for more than 38 years. And don¹t think Hank guy is only interested in construction. He soars to new heights when as a licensed instrument pilot, enjoys worldwide traveling and really gets a rush from training and driving harness horses in races.
